Live and Farm is a self-sustaining community located in the Mavişehir district of Karşıyaka, İzmir. Izmir Municipality gathers volunteer farmers in its small districts and offers them the opportunity to both live and do vertical farming, because with the increasing urbanization and the decrease in the places where agriculture is done, the aim is to present the products obtained as a result of vertical farming here to the public. The form of the project was designed according to solar analysis and the direction suitable for vertical farming was used. There are units suitable for different family types, a market to sell the products obtained, working areas for farmers and workshop areas for outside visitors.
Live and Farm, İzmir Karşıyaka'nın Mavişehir semtinde kendi kendini idame ettirebilen bir topluluktur. İzmir Belediyesi, gönüllü çiftçileri küçük ilçelerinde toplayarak onlara hem yaşama hem de dikey tarım yapma olanağı sunuyor çünkü artan kentleşme ve tarım yapılan yerlerin azalmasıyla birlikte tarım yapılması sonucu elde edilen ürünlerin pazara sunulması amaçlanıyor. dikey tarımı halka sunuyoruz. Projenin formu güneş analizine göre tasarlanmış olup, dikey tarıma uygun yön kullanılmıştır. Farklı aile tiplerine uygun üniteler, elde edilen ürünlerin satılabileceği pazar, çiftçiler için çalışma alanları ve dışarıdan gelen ziyaretçiler için atölye alanları bulunmaktadır.
